Weather & Seasons Theme

 

How many us explain that today is sunny,rainy,windy,stormy to our kids? All of us right? But how fun would it be to do a whole theme on the weather and spend the whole week doing activities inside and out about it!

 

Well we did just that and the lovely england weather did us proud and gave us all the different types of weather in a week except snow.Here is our weather theme below are some examples but not all of what we did I will add more as we go because guess what? Even thou the theme has passed we still continue learning why because the seasons are always changing and so is the weather.

 

My children learned so much that they even pushed us to buy them umbrellas in the summer :) because they now love the rain.

Painting with forks to make rain

Learn about the water cycle link to another site below,we just changed it up a bit by adding cotton wool instead of shaving cream and let the cotton wool soak up the water, we then squeezed all the water out as rain. This was a better and more simple explanation for toddlers which they understood.we also watched a water cycle video on youtube.
